Game Masters Day!
March 4th is “Game Master's Day,”, a day to reflect on how important that person behind the screen is to all us players. It is important to remember the amount of work these folks put into preparing adventures for us to play.

As a part of this celebration, dozens of publishers on DriveThruRPG are offering hundreds upon ...hundreds of products for sale at 25% off. Here's a link:

But if you don't do anything else, please give some props to your favorite GM :)

New FWS modules

I just posted the latest two FWS modules to the website store.

We have A113 "Intrigue at Battle Creek". This was a module that was playtested for the 1905 campaign and the playtest group had a lot of feedback. We finally got back to it and replaytested it last month. Since it was event time specific, we decided to release one last 1905 module.

Next is B201 "Le Paradis Perdu". This is our first 1906 module and premiered last week at Conn Con. It is also the first module by a new author to the campaign, Brian Martin. Some of you probably know Brian from the table as a great player and he is just as good of an author. His next module "Give Me Liberty and Give Me Death" will be out very soon as well.

You can catch both at Origins or Gen Con (Intrigue during wild card slots) or at a home game near you.

Sorry for the cross post for those on multiple lists.

1905 Campaign year update

During the first year of the Fellowship of the White Star campaign, the campaign staff had a tons of fun and we hope you did too!

It turns out we had 23 modules.  12 A's, 8 B's, 2 Intros and 1 D.  The last two modules for 1905 are A112 Turf War and B107 Silent Night.  They should be available soon.

We just posted the newest 1905 module to the website, Lady in Red, an adventure that features the heroes meeting Mata Hari in Paris, France.

I should note that you can play the 1905 events in 1906 (2009).  The only catch is that if you play some 1906 modules first, they may contain some spoilers for 1905 modules.

We have three modules already for 1906 and will be playtesting and releasing them soon.

We will be checking through the critical event forms soon and will make some decisions on which Hero actions affect various plot lines.  If you haven't turned some in, please do so asap so we can include your heroes work into the summary.

Lastly, the monster book is almost done.  Some final layout and then printing.  When we have it ready to go to the printer, I'll put a notice up so folks can order it.

We want to send out a special thanks to all the players for making the campaign a success!

Origins 2008 update

Online pre-registration for Origins 2008 events and badges has been extended to this Thursday, June 12th.  There are still tickets available to all but one of the 16 FWS modules (including 5 premieres!).  There are 75 tickets sold so far, so don’t delay, get yours now!

For the event that is full, Greased Lightning, we have added another table for the Thursday at 7pm slot.  That might not show up on the Origins prereg site before the deadline, but will be offered at the con in the onsite addendum.

We’d also like to note that while Ghosts of Shaitani (A110) is not required to be played before Hunt at Stella Point (A111), it does make a bit more sense if played in order.  To that end, we will be offering Ghosts in four more slots (Wed 7pm, Thurs 1pm, Fri 1pm, and Sat 1pm).  Again, those might not show up on the prereg site, but will be available onsite and in the onsite addendum.

Lastly, a couple folk asked what slots some of the authors would be judging their own modules at Origins 2008, those would be:

Wed 8am, Our First Opportunity

Wed 1pm, Crypt of Deception

Wed 7pm, The Village

Thurs 1pm, Tears Beneath the Mask

Thurs 7pm, Little Girl Lost

Thurs 7pm, Greased Lightning (may not show on the prereg site)

Fri 8am, Snakes on a Plain

Fri 7pm, Family Matters

Sat 1pm, The Rock

Sun 8am, Greased Lightning

Sun 8am, Hunt at Stella Point

I hope to see many of you there.  Stop by our booth #832 in the dealer’s room and check out our preview of our upcoming monster grimoire!

Origins 2008

I just registered for the module I missed on the Origins site. There are 74 tiks sold so far, but still openings in all but one slot. Since
every module plus the 4 premieres will be at Origins, it's a great time to grab those you have missed.

The one slot that is full is for Greased Lightning, which is a really fun module set in Detroit, Michigan.  Everyone I have talked to about it has enjoyed it and the neat thing about it was that almost every group had a slightly different solution to the adventure end.  See below if you want another table of Greaed Lightning run.

If you have a table of people who want to play a module that is full or just want to play it in a slot that it isn't offered in, we will do our best to accomodate your request at Origins.  During most slots, we have several judges who are familiar with numerous modules.

If you want to contact me off list and arrange a specific module for a specific slot and you have a group, drop me a line at thenodrin@fellowshipwhitestar.com and we will do my best to set it up in avance.  I have had one group take advantage of this offer to playa  module they wanted in a slot it wasn't offered (big thanks to JF for agreeing to judge that module that slot!).

PS: Registration for Gen Con is also open and two of the seven FWS tables there is already full.

Most of you also subscribe to the yahoo site for news, so I will just summarize here.

1. Megacon is this weekend, March 7-9.

2. We added critical event summaries to all the modules so that players can affect the campaign history.

3. We are giving away white star d6 dies if you get friends to buy a campaign book, the person who gets the most friends to try the game and buy the book will get a full set of of white star dice.

If you want details, you can hit the yahoo site or ask and I'll post them.
